word from Mr. Kamiya about the work:
"Among the reasons that have led me to be interested in the music
of the remotest past, there is a story concerning a musician, Kui, in
the reign of the legendary emperor Shun, in a dynasty for which there
is not any archeological evidence yet, but whose existence no Chinese
has any doubt. In those far times of abundant silence and darkness Kui
struck and tapped stones with his hand.
When the sound around me invoke my sympathy, I cannot resist thinking they are somehow linked to those faraway sounds."
